This Bugsier tug boat from 1923 was one of the first mtor tub boats. It can be built either as a waterline model or with a full hull.
The famous model kit of the tug boat Hermes comes with some beautiful details. The model cann be built either as a waterline model or with a full hull on a display stand. In addition to all the details on deck there's also a bunch of maritime signal flags included. So the tug can be decorated for example for a parade.
The kit of the Hermes is easy enough to build and is suitable for modelers with a bit less experience. It also fits to many of the bigger ships of HMV and thus is perfect not only for a model harbour but also for some dioramas. The model is also great for experienced modelers to build in between bigger projects.

Hermes was the first tug boat from Bugsier in Hamburg that had a diesel engine instead of the usual steam engine. During the 2nd World War it was in service of the Kriegsmarine as a Salvage tug boat. On July 19th, 1944 Hermes sank after it was hit by a bomb in St. Malo in France. After the war she was salvaged by the French and later repaired. As Teanace she was in service in the french navy. She was deleted from the ship list in 1974.
