Japanese Castle Hagi
Scale: 1/300
Skill Level: medium
Size (LxWxH): 200x158x120 mm (7x6x4 inch)
After the defeat at Sekigahara, Hagi Castle became the final stronghold of the Mori clan and later served as the base for the patriots who overthrew the Tokugawa shogunate and led Japan into modernization. This 1/300-scale papercraft model represents the restored Hagi Castle.
This Hagi Castle papercraft is not particularly difficult and is suitable even for beginners. The only minor challenge might be the bay window on the third floor, but if you’ve built other models in this series, it should pose no problem. Despite the relatively simple construction, the completed model looks impressive and is highly recommended. The design is based on a restoration drawing by Mitsuru Shima, well-known for his precise reconstructions of Japanese castles, using old photographs of Hagi Castle and historical documents.
