Detailed paper model kit of the Japanese parasol-wing fighter Nakajima NC Type 91 from 1931 in the classic 1:33 aircraft scale. Spanning 10 A4 pages, this precise kit replicates a distinctive early 1930s high-wing monoplane, tailored for advanced modelers.

This kit accurately captures the engineering of the Japanese interceptor, featuring its signature parasol-wing configuration and open cockpit layout. Distributed across 10 A4-sized sheets, the parts cover the fuselage, a detailed radial engine replica, and the wing assembly. Due to the intricate bracing required for the wing struts and landing gear, this model demands advanced experience in precision alignment and handling delicate paper components. Assembly is guided by comprehensive technical diagrams accompanied by text instructions.

The model highlights:

  • Detailed Radial Engine: The kit includes a detailed representation of the air-cooled engine cylinders, enclosed by a historically accurate Townend ring cowling.
  • Full Cockpit Interior: The open cockpit assembly features structured instrument panels, framing, and flight controls.

The Nakajima NC (officially designated as the Army Type 91 Fighter) was a single-engine monoplane fighter operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service during the 1930s. Designed as a braced parasol-wing aircraft featuring an all-metal fuselage construction with fabric-covered wings, the prototype conducted its maiden flight in 1928. Following extensive design modifications to enhance flight stability, it entered series production in 1931. The Type 91 served as the army's primary front-line fighter during the early stages of the Manchurian campaigns and remained in service until the mid-1930s, when it was reassigned to training duties. A total of over 400 aircraft were manufactured.
